The year is not over yet: 6 new electric models arriving SOON

More diversity in vehicle models is key to shifting the fleet to electric, and we're here to tell you that SIX more exciting models are coming before the year is over!





To begin, the highly anticipated, Hyundai Ioniq 5 has announced pricing at $71,900 (plus on-roads). This price will be fixed and sold initially through an online-only offering, but you can register your interest here as deliveries are beginning soon.

October also kicks off the release of the new Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. Whether you watch the 2-minute corporate preview or the 20-minute carwow virtual demo, you're sure to be impressed with this prestigious car. Priced just a touch over $200k (before onroads), it's not for everyone, but it will absolutely be coveted by Porsche lovers looks to go electric.


Up next, BMW's first all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle, the iX will be launched in Australia in the fourth quarter of this year. Priced at $135, 900 (before on roads), it's on the higher end of price, but with the premium brand trademarks.


The BMW iX's distinctive design impresses at first sight with it's mesh-like structure grille on the outside and modern but elegant interior features such as the BMW i entry sills and the BMW i Blue ambient light throughout the cabin.


Fast forward to November the long awaited Swedish Polestar 2 is set to arrive. Apart from being a new electric brand offering, the Polestar 2 also brings in a slightly more affordable option relative to the premium options earlier in the year, but with a finish to rival a Tesla 3. With a sticker price tracking at $69K and 450km range the Polestar might go head-to-head with the Ioniq 5.



Finishing of the year off, are Mercedes and Kia, each with new impressive all-electric options.


Mercedes-Benz's flagship the Mercedes EQS is entering the stage setting a new benchmark for 780km driving range - among the highest available!


Priced above the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo at $290,000 plus on roads, the all-electric EQS, an executive sedan - delivers an entirely new driving experience with advanced autonomous technologies and a windscreen dashboard.


Meanwhile Kia's new all-electric EV6 offers a lot for $65, 000 plus on roads. This elegant new model delivers on all fronts - speed, comfort and compelling range. Even the blokes at Fully Charged are impressed!


With six impressive new offerings in the final quarter of the calendar year, the EV market is heating up in Australia.
