How does someone become a Whirl Ambassador?


Whirl Ambassadors are self-nominated or invited to participate in the program by Whirl. They are interviewed prior to formal invitation to ensure mutual fit. Upon being formally invited into the program, they are briefed on Whirl practices and will have committed to terms, aligned with our Whirl Community Guidelines.




What is a Whirl Ambassador?


Whirl Ambassadors are everyday electric car owners who share their experiences owning and operating an electric car with shoppers like you. Over time, Whirl plans to expand the Ambassador program to include other clean energy technologies such as solar panels, battery storage, home energy monitoring, and other cost and energy saving retail offerings.




What do I get for being a Whirl Ambassador?


As a Whirl Ambassador, you are publicly recognised for your contribution to growing the clean energy economy. Additionally, during our initial pilot of this program (now underway) Whirl’s Ambassadors are compensated for their time. Over time, we expect Ambassadors to be rated, ranked and awarded for their contributions as well as remunerated with partner perks, such as discounted public electric car charging.




What is expected of a Whirl Ambassador?


Whirl Ambassadors are expected to: -Be located in Australia (to begin) -To have experience owning and operating an manufactured electric vehicle (car, motorbike - no conversions) -Agree not to sell a particular brand or offer commercial advice, only share lived experience -Have a valid driver’s license, stellar motoring record (no criminal offenses, good standing motoring record) -Willingness to Ambassador program Terms of Engagement (provided) and Whirl Community Guidelines -Agree to a code of conduct, COVID safe, follow guidelines for each customer exchange -Provide feedback to the program -Remain polite, constructive, positive, and mature.




How long does the Ambassador Program last?


Establishing the Whirl Ambassador program is the first step for Whirl. Our pilot (Q3) is carefully designed to test the the viability of peer support to encourage consumers and accelerate clean technology sales. After a trial period, we will evaluate the Program for continuation.
